Pre-release enrolment is open. Full course available by 8 November 2026. Access instructions will be shared by email.

Your next operational skill

“The request succeeded”
is only the beginning.

An AI response can be slow, expensive or unsupported even when the API returns successfully. Learn which signal to inspect and how to investigate it.

Find the step that failed.

Follow a request across model and tool calls. Distinguish a retrieval problem from a generation problem.

Make changes with evidence.

Compare prompts and application variants with evaluation results and human review, rather than a handful of good-looking answers.

Bring operations into the loop.

Query traffic, errors and latency. Build a dashboard, trigger an alert and connect a log to its trace.

10 projects · One practical capability

From building AI workflows
to understanding their behaviour.

Start with observability concepts and lab setup. Then explore a focused project for each tool. Every project includes its own supporting services, so you can practise it independently.

PROJECT 01 · LangChainAI incident-note assistant

A working application produces a structured incident note and uses an external service when needed.

  • the incident-note assistant
  • prompts, messages, models, structured output, and tools
  • dependencies, credentials, and the service-status API
  • turn an incident description into a structured summary
  • let a small agent look up service status through a tool
  • handle an unavailable service and verify the response
PROJECT 02 · LangGraphIncident triage workflow

Different inputs follow different paths through a small, understandable workflow.

  • a workflow with two routes
  • state, nodes, edges, conditional routing, and bounded execution
  • the graph, tools, and sample incident inputs
  • classify an incident and choose the next step
  • check service status and handle a tool failure
  • trigger both routes and inspect the final state
PROJECT 03 · LangSmithTrace a tool-enabled support assistant

Learners identify which step caused a request to fail or become slow.

  • follow one request in LangSmith
  • trace trees, child runs, metadata, tags, and errors
  • tracing credentials, project configuration, and a first trace
  • inspect model inputs, outputs, tool calls, and latency
  • introduce a slow tool and compare tagged prompt variants
  • locate a failed request and record a quality annotation
PROJECT 04 · LangfuseObserve a small support chatbot

Learners can inspect a conversation and relate a prompt change to observed usage and quality feedback.

  • the observable chatbot
  • observations, sessions, token usage, estimated cost, prompts, and scores
  • connect the SDK and verify the first recorded interaction
  • inspect a conversation, model calls, latency, and usage
  • fetch a versioned prompt and attach simple user feedback
  • compare two prompt versions on the same sample inputs
PROJECT 05 · Arize PhoenixA tiny runbook question-answering assistant

Learners distinguish a retrieval problem from a generation problem using trace evidence.

  • question, retrieval, and answer
  • RAG steps, retrieval failures, OpenInference, and annotations
  • launch Phoenix, load sample runbooks, and enable instrumentation
  • inspect retrieval and generation spans
  • supply irrelevant context and annotate the resulting answer
  • improve retrieval and compare the before-and-after traces
PROJECT 06 · OpenTelemetryFollow a request across an assistant API and a tool API

Two applications appear in one connected trace with the slow or failed operation identifiable.

  • one request across two applications
  • SDKs, spans, attributes, context propagation, OTLP, and the Collector
  • start both services, the Collector, and the trace backend
  • create custom spans and preserve trace context over HTTP
  • add a tool delay, record an exception, and find the failing span
  • add one useful attribute and verify the complete trace
PROJECT 07 · RagasEvaluate five runbook questions and compare two application variants

Learners produce an evaluation table and justify whether a change improved the application.

  • a small evaluation report
  • faithfulness, response relevancy, context precision, and reference data
  • configure the evaluator and inspect the dataset fields
  • score the baseline responses and interpret the results
  • change context or prompts and compare against the baseline
  • review a misleading score and apply a simple quality threshold
PROJECT 08 · PrometheusMonitor a small AI application API

Learners query service health and explain what changed during a controlled failure.

  • watch application metrics change
  • counters, gauges, histograms, labels, scraping, and cardinality
  • start the application, expose metrics, and configure Prometheus
  • measure requests, failures, latency, in-flight requests, and token totals
  • request rate, error ratio, and approximate p95 latency with PromQL
  • generate slow and failed requests and verify the changes
PROJECT 09 · GrafanaAI application operations dashboard

A working dashboard reacts to traffic and a basic alert transitions through firing and resolved states.

  • the finished operations dashboard
  • data sources, queries, panels, variables, thresholds, and alerts
  • start the bundled services and connect the Prometheus data source
  • build panels for traffic, errors, latency, and token usage
  • add a service filter and an error-rate alert; trigger its firing state
  • restore the service, verify resolution, and export the dashboard
PROJECT 10 · Grafana LokiFind failed assistant requests in application logs

Learners move from an error log to the corresponding request trace and explain the failure.

  • locate a failed request in logs
  • structured logs, severity, labels, LogQL, and trace correlation
  • start the application, Alloy, Loki, Grafana, and the supplied trace backend
  • generate successful and failed requests and query the logs
  • find a request ID in logs and use its trace ID to inspect the trace
  • diagnose a timeout and redact one sensitive field

Finish with a tool-selection matrix, a symptom-to-signal checklist and practical habits for telemetry, data handling and lab cleanup.

Your operations experience
is an advantage.

For DevOps engineers, SREs, platform engineers and MLOps practitioners adding AI application operations to their skill set—and AI developers who want to see beyond the final response.

This is practical observability for small AI applications. The labs focus on understanding, inspecting and improving behaviour; they are not an enterprise-scale infrastructure or Kubernetes program.

Before you begin
  • Basic Python, HTTP requests and terminal familiarity.
  • A computer able to run Python and the selected local Docker services.
  • Access to an LLM provider and the hosted tools used in the labs.
  • Model usage and selected hosted features may incur separate charges. Tool accounts and API usage are not included in the course price.

Setup guidance and project-specific dependencies are part of the learning plan.

Your instructor · Nachiketh Murthy

Systems ship.
Demos don’t.

I am Nachiketh. I help experienced technology professionals move beyond AI demos and build production-ready AI systems.

In this bootcamp, bring that mindset to observability: inspect the path, verify the outcome and make the next engineering decision with evidence.

Take forward
  • Runnable examples you can inspect and modify.
  • Trace, evaluation and debugging checkpoints.
  • PromQL, LogQL and dashboard references.
  • A clearer way to investigate the next unfamiliar AI application.

Before you enrol.

Is this live or self-paced?

This is a self-paced course. Pre-release enrolment is open; the full course will be available by 8 November 2026, with access instructions by email. No live-cohort schedule is advertised.

Do I need to complete projects in order?

No. Each project has its own runnable folder and the supporting application, services and sample data it needs. The introductory material helps you choose a sensible starting point.

Are model and hosted-tool charges included?

No. You will need your own accounts and credentials. Model usage and some hosted features may cost extra; the labs explain the requirements and cleanup steps.

Can an existing member claim it free?

Eligible existing members can request the limited-time bonus through the member-bonus instructions page. The deadline and first-100-claims limit apply. Please wait for claim confirmation before purchasing if you want to use this offer.

Is this an enterprise production-readiness certification?

The course develops practical skills through small, controlled projects. Lab results and a small evaluation dataset do not establish the reliability of a full production system. There is no job or placement guarantee.

Where can I review the enrolment policy?

Review the refund policy and terms before enrolling. For questions, email support@manifoldailearning.in.
